基于功率配置和關聯管理的WLAN能耗優(yōu)化算法

【摘要】:為實現WLAN節(jié)能并保證網絡性能,研究并提出了一種基于功率配置和關聯管理的WLAN能耗優(yōu)化算法.首先,采用細粒度的能耗模型來定義AP功率,并利用整數線性規(guī)劃(ILP)對能耗優(yōu)化問題進行形式化描述,即通過調度射頻接口的活躍/休眠狀態(tài),配置AP的信號發(fā)射功率,以及管理AP與用戶的關聯關系,在保證用戶帶寬需求的前提下,降低網絡能耗.然后,提出一種高效的啟發(fā)式算法,以迭代的方式選擇開啟的AP及功率級,并確定所關聯的用戶.在每次迭代中,以最大化能效的策略進行AP及其功率級的選擇.實驗結果表明,該算法能有效實現WLAN節(jié)能,并具有較高的運行效率,能夠適用于大規(guī)模的WLAN.
[Abstract]:In order to realize WLAN energy saving and ensure network performance, a WLAN energy consumption optimization algorithm based on power configuration and association management is studied and proposed. Firstly, the AP power is defined by a fine-grained energy consumption model, and the problem of energy consumption optimization is described by integer linear programming (ILP), that is, the AP signal transmit power is configured by scheduling the active / dormant state of the RF interface. The relationship between AP and users is managed to reduce network energy consumption on the premise of guaranteeing user bandwidth requirements. Then an efficient heuristic algorithm is proposed to select the open AP and power level iteratively and to determine the associated users. In each iteration, the AP and its power level are selected with the strategy of maximizing energy efficiency. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively realize the energy saving of WLAN and has a high running efficiency, and it can be applied to large-scale WLAN.
