[Abstract]:China's online video service is starting to look more like (Netflix) than You Tube, as more users are willing to pay for it, according to US media. In June 2015, iqiyi, a video platform owned by Chinese search engine Baidu, began broadcasting online drama Tomb Theft Notes, the Web site of the Wall Street Journal reported on June 22. Some fans of the show's online novel of the same name have chosen to pay for the rights to watch the show. Iqiyi, who now has 20 million paying subscribers, enjoys privileges over free users to watch the latest movies and TV dramas, as well as the chance to meet stars.
