【摘要】：本文以2007~2015年的國有控股上市公司為研究對象,考察了國企高管政治晉升對公司現(xiàn)金持有行為的影響。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),國企高管政治晉升時,公司現(xiàn)金持有量顯著增加,現(xiàn)金持有價值顯著降低,體現(xiàn)了現(xiàn)金持有的代理動機。進一步研究發(fā)現(xiàn),有效的內(nèi)外部治理機制(管理層持股、兩職分離、產(chǎn)品市場競爭、投資者保護)能夠約束政治晉升高管的私人收益行為,降低現(xiàn)金持有的代理動機。本文的研究表明,政治晉升使國企高管利用企業(yè)資源獲取私人收益,增加了股東與管理層之間的代理沖突,該研究結(jié)論對深化國企改革、完善經(jīng)理人市場具有重要的啟示。
[Abstract]:This paper investigates the influence of the political promotion of senior executives of state-owned enterprises on the cash holding behavior of state-owned listed companies from 2007 to 2015. It is found that the cash holdings and the value of cash holdings are significantly decreased when the executives of state-owned enterprises are promoted politically, which reflects the agency motivation of cash holdings. It is further found that effective internal and external governance mechanisms (management shareholding, separation of two positions, product market competition, investor protection) can constrain the private income behavior of political promotion executives and reduce the agency motivation of cash holding. The research of this paper shows that political promotion can make executives of state-owned enterprises gain private income by using enterprise resources and increase the agency conflict between shareholders and management. The conclusion of this study has important implications for deepening the reform of state-owned enterprises and perfecting the manager market.
