【摘要】：自從韓禮德(1967)突破傳統(tǒng)語法對(duì)及物性的定義,從語義的層面上解釋及物性的概念以來,國內(nèi)外學(xué)者對(duì)及物性的理論及其應(yīng)用越來越關(guān)注。本文主要運(yùn)用韓禮德系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)系統(tǒng)中的及物性理論來分析美國現(xiàn)任總統(tǒng)奧巴馬如何通過每周電臺(tái)演講來提升政治影響力。通過對(duì)及物性系統(tǒng)中過程和參與者分布狀況的研究試圖探究語言背后的政治動(dòng)機(jī),同時(shí)作者試圖通過探索及物性意念功能的實(shí)現(xiàn)尋求其廣泛的社會(huì)意義。具體來說,有以下四個(gè)研究問題:第一,在所選取的奧巴馬每周電臺(tái)演講語篇中,六個(gè)及物過程的分布情況是怎樣的?為什么?第二,在所選取的奧巴馬每周電臺(tái)演講語篇中,六個(gè)及物過程的功能是什么?第三,在不同主題的電臺(tái)演講中,六個(gè)及物性過程的分布情況是怎樣的?為什么?第四,主要參與者的分布情況是怎樣的?為什么?基于大量的現(xiàn)有研究,作者從2014年至2016年期間的奧巴馬每周電臺(tái)演講中選取了二十四篇作為語篇分析的資料來探索其意念功能的實(shí)現(xiàn)。演講根據(jù)不同主題被作者歸類為教育、經(jīng)濟(jì)、軍事、環(huán)境、節(jié)日問候、民生。為保證數(shù)據(jù)的信度和效度,作者采取定量研究和定性研究相結(jié)合的研究方法對(duì)數(shù)據(jù)進(jìn)行統(tǒng)計(jì)分析,Word Smith是本文研究過程中的主要數(shù)據(jù)統(tǒng)計(jì)工具。研究結(jié)果表明:在奧巴馬電臺(tái)演說中,物質(zhì)過程出現(xiàn)頻率最廣,關(guān)系和心理過程分列二、三位。物質(zhì)過程大量分布在描述政府作為和重建美國人民信心這兩部分,用具體、客觀的動(dòng)作過程來增強(qiáng)說服力和語言上的節(jié)奏感與爆發(fā)力。關(guān)系過程更廣泛的分布于惠民政策解讀部分,奧巴馬總統(tǒng)也使用心理過程表明自己對(duì)不同事件和對(duì)象的立場(chǎng)及態(tài)度。物質(zhì)過程和關(guān)系過程的分布性最廣,也表明政治領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者力求公正客觀地反映現(xiàn)實(shí)世界,使其演講更具公信力和說服力。通過對(duì)參與者的分析發(fā)現(xiàn),we/our/us作為過程的參與者出現(xiàn)的頻率最大,這是由于奧巴馬總統(tǒng)故意想和美國民眾拉近距離,以求得美國民眾的認(rèn)同感。而對(duì)于美國的敵人恐怖分子,奧巴馬總統(tǒng)大都以they相稱,表明一種對(duì)立關(guān)系。You/your的頻率雖然相對(duì)較低,但在每周電臺(tái)演講中被用在祝結(jié)尾祝福語中。奧巴馬總統(tǒng)的演講中很少用I/my/me,足見奧巴馬本人的謙恭性格,以及演講語言力求客觀,和不帶有個(gè)人偏見。鑒于主客觀的條件限制,本研究并未涉及及物性系統(tǒng)中環(huán)境因素的考察以及奧巴馬電臺(tái)演講的與其他演講的共時(shí)比較,也未涉及奧巴馬不同任期內(nèi)的每周電臺(tái)演講的歷時(shí)比較。這些問題有待于在今后的研究中能夠得到進(jìn)一步的探討。
[Abstract]:Since Halliday (1967) broke through the traditional definition of grammatical pairs and transitivity and interpreted the concepts of transitivity from the semantic level scholars at home and abroad have paid more and more attention to the theory and application of transitivity. This paper mainly uses the theory of Halliday's system of functional linguistics to analyze how current US President Barack Obama can enhance his political influence through his weekly radio address. Through the study of the process and the distribution of participants in the transitivity system, the author tries to explore the political motivation behind the language, and at the same time, the author tries to seek its broad social significance by exploring and realizing the function of transitivity and ideation. Specifically, there are four research questions as follows: first, what is the distribution of the six transitivity processes in the selected weekly radio discourse of Obama? Why? Second, what are the functions of the six transitivity processes in the selected weekly radio discourse of Obama? Third, what is the distribution of the six and physical processes in radio speeches on different topics? Why? Fourth, what is the distribution of the main participants? Why? Based on a large number of existing studies, the author selected 24 articles from his weekly radio speeches from 2014 to 2016 to explore the realization of his mental function. Lectures are classified according to their themes as education, economics, military, environment, holiday greetings, and people's livelihood. In order to ensure the reliability and validity of the data, the author adopts the method of combining quantitative and qualitative research to analyze the data statistically., Word Smith is the main data statistical tool in the research process of this paper. The results show that in Obama's radio speech, the material process appears most frequently, the relationship and the psychological process are in the second and third places respectively. The material process is widely distributed in describing the government as and rebuilding the confidence of the American people, using concrete and objective action processes to enhance persuasion and verbal rhythm and explosive power. The relationship process is more widely used in the interpretation of pro-democracy policy, and President Obama also uses psychological processes to express his position and attitude towards different events and objects. The distribution of material and relational processes is the most extensive, which also shows that political leaders strive to reflect the real world fairly and objectively, and make their speeches more credible and persuasive. An analysis of the participants found that we/our/us appeared the most frequently as a participant in the process, as President Obama deliberately sought to reach out to the American people in order to gain a sense of identity. For America's enemy terrorists, President Obama is mostly matched by they, a sign of opposition. You/your, though relatively low in frequency, is used in weekly radio speeches to celebrate the blessings at the end of the week. President Obama rarely uses I / M in his speeches, illustrating Obama's personal humility and the objective and unbiased language of his speech. In view of the constraints of subjective and objective conditions, this study does not cover the investigation of environmental factors in the physical system, the synchronic comparison of Obama radio speeches with other speeches, and the diachronic comparison of weekly radio speeches during Obama's different administrations. These problems need to be further discussed in the future research.
