從國(guó)家公民到世界公民:美國(guó)公民教育目標(biāo)的轉(zhuǎn)向

【摘要】:公民教育最早濫觴于古希臘,經(jīng)歷過(guò)中世紀(jì)的沉寂之后,隨著近代資產(chǎn)階級(jí)國(guó)家的誕生而復(fù)興。作為西方發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家的美國(guó),自建國(guó)以來(lái)便以公民教育作為立國(guó)的基石,經(jīng)過(guò)二百余年的發(fā)展,在理論及實(shí)踐上積累了諸多經(jīng)驗(yàn),成為現(xiàn)代公民教育理論研究的重鎮(zhèn)。本研究按照歷史發(fā)展的脈絡(luò),探討從殖民化時(shí)期到全球化時(shí)期,美國(guó)公民教育目標(biāo)發(fā)展的路徑,闡述了美國(guó)公民教育目標(biāo)重心轉(zhuǎn)向的歷史位移。 本研究共分為五個(gè)部分: 第一部分為導(dǎo)論。主要探討了選題緣起和研究?jī)r(jià)值。在進(jìn)行相關(guān)文獻(xiàn)回顧的基礎(chǔ)上,指出了本研究的邏輯起點(diǎn),并闡明了研究的基本思路、行文框架及具體的研究方法。 第二部分為美國(guó)的公民教育之源(論文的第一章)。從縱橫兩個(gè)維度,分別探討了美國(guó)公民教育的歐洲傳統(tǒng),以及近代公民教育復(fù)興以來(lái),對(duì)美國(guó)公民教育影響較為顯著的法國(guó)、英國(guó)以及其他歐洲國(guó)家的公民教育概況。 第三部分為國(guó)家公民培養(yǎng)的探討(包括論文的第二、三、四章)。第二章主要揭示了殖民化時(shí)期,教育體系尚未建立的聯(lián)合殖民地人民,通過(guò)意識(shí)形態(tài)、宗教情愫以及革命啟蒙而萌發(fā)美國(guó)公民意識(shí)的基本情況;第三章探討了從立國(guó)后至南北統(tǒng)一期間,在領(lǐng)袖關(guān)于提升公民素質(zhì)、培養(yǎng)愛(ài)國(guó)公民的構(gòu)想下,公立學(xué)校運(yùn)動(dòng)對(duì)這些構(gòu)想的實(shí)踐;第四章則系統(tǒng)闡述了城市化飛速發(fā)展時(shí)期的美國(guó),通過(guò)專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)會(huì)的參與,不斷推動(dòng)“美國(guó)化”的公民教育,以促進(jìn)新、舊移民的融合,從而促進(jìn)民眾美國(guó)公民意識(shí)的增強(qiáng)的歷史現(xiàn)象。 第四部分為世界公民的培養(yǎng)(包括論文第五章、第六章)。第五章分析了美國(guó)在經(jīng)歷繁榮、蕭條、大戰(zhàn)以及冷戰(zhàn)等一系列考驗(yàn)的基礎(chǔ)上,其公民教育在曲折發(fā)展中,進(jìn)行的世界公民塑造的初探;而其社會(huì)科課程的演變,則表明了美國(guó)公民教育目標(biāo)轉(zhuǎn)向的跡象。第六章主要研究美國(guó)公民教育目標(biāo)沖破國(guó)家主義傾向。由于受其他國(guó)家實(shí)力的增強(qiáng)、恐怖主義報(bào)復(fù)襲擊以及經(jīng)濟(jì)危機(jī)的席卷,美國(guó)的霸權(quán)遭受了重創(chuàng);而隨著全球化趨勢(shì)的日益明朗,在人類(lèi)所遭遇的共同危機(jī)下,美國(guó)的公民教育通過(guò)世界交流、主題重心的轉(zhuǎn)向,開(kāi)始關(guān)注世界公民的培養(yǎng);作為其公民教育主要課程的社會(huì)科則呈現(xiàn)出全球化的趨向。 第五部分為結(jié)語(yǔ)。系統(tǒng)概括了美國(guó)公民教育目標(biāo)發(fā)展的路徑;探討了美國(guó)公民教育發(fā)展的規(guī)律,基于公民身份變遷的理論挖掘了美國(guó)公民教育目標(biāo)轉(zhuǎn)向的根本動(dòng)因;并預(yù)測(cè)了未來(lái)美國(guó)公民教育發(fā)展的趨勢(shì)。
[Abstract]:Civic education originated in ancient Greece, after the silence of the Middle Ages, it was revived with the birth of modern bourgeois state. The United States, as a western developed country, has been based on civic education since its founding. After more than 200 years of development, it has accumulated a lot of experience in theory and practice, and has become an important city in the research of modern civic education theory. According to the historical development, this study discusses the path of the development of American civic education goals from colonization period to globalization period, and expounds the historical shift of the center of gravity of American civic education goals. This study is divided into five parts: the first part is an introduction. This paper mainly discusses the origin and research value of the topic. Based on the review of relevant literatures, this paper points out the logical starting point of this study, and expounds the basic ideas of the study, the frame of writing and the specific research methods. The second part is the source of American civic education (the first chapter of the thesis). This paper discusses the European tradition of American civic education and the general situation of citizenship education in France, Britain and other European countries, which have a significant impact on American civic education since the revival of modern civic education. The third part is the discussion of the national citizen training (including the second, third, fourth chapters of the thesis). The second chapter mainly reveals the basic situation of the United colonial people whose educational system has not been established during the period of colonization, which sprouted the American citizen consciousness through ideology, religious feelings and revolutionary enlightenment. The third chapter discusses the practice of the public school movement to these ideas during the period from the founding of the country to the unification of the north and south under the concept of improving the quality of citizens and cultivating patriotic citizens. The fourth chapter systematically expounds the rapid development of urbanization in the United States, through the participation of professional associations, continue to promote "Americanization" of civic education, in order to promote the integration of new and old immigrants. Thus promotes the American citizen consciousness enhancement historical phenomenon. The fourth part is the cultivation of the world citizen (including the fifth chapter, the sixth chapter). The fifth chapter analyzes a series of tests, such as prosperity, depression, war, cold war, etc., on the basis of a series of tests such as prosperity, depression, war and the cold war, the American civic education is developing in twists and turns, and the evolution of its social science curriculum It shows signs of a shift in civic education goals in the United States. The sixth chapter mainly studies the goal of American civic education to break through the tendency of nationalism. As a result of the strength of other countries, terrorist revenge attacks and the economic crisis, the hegemony of the United States has suffered a heavy blow. With the globalization trend becoming clearer, under the common crisis faced by mankind, American civic education focuses on the cultivation of world citizens through the world communication and the change of the focus of the theme, while the social subject, as the main course of its civic education, shows the trend of globalization. The fifth part is the conclusion. This paper systematically summarizes the path of the development of American civic education, probes into the law of the development of American civic education, and excavates the fundamental motivation of the turning of American civic education goal based on the theory of citizenship change. And predicted the future trend of the development of American civic education.
