本文關(guān)鍵詞：二十世紀(jì)初期中國(guó)留美學(xué)生研究，由筆耕文化傳播整理發(fā)布。

【摘要】：二十世紀(jì)起初的三十年曾有4371到5886名中國(guó)學(xué)子赴美求學(xué)。這些學(xué)子遠(yuǎn)渡重洋，希望通過(guò)學(xué)習(xí)科學(xué)技術(shù)與知識(shí)為陷入內(nèi)憂外患的中國(guó)帶來(lái)現(xiàn)代文明。本文調(diào)查了在對(duì)其產(chǎn)生深刻影響的求學(xué)時(shí)期這一特殊群體的生活與思想。本文的第一章概述了留美學(xué)生在國(guó)內(nèi)、外成長(zhǎng)和接受教育的歷史背景并概括了其在過(guò)渡方面與上一代知識(shí)分子的不同之處。第二章提供了留美學(xué)生有關(guān)男女比例、社會(huì)經(jīng)濟(jì)背景、主修科目和在美分布情況等統(tǒng)計(jì)數(shù)據(jù)。此外還簡(jiǎn)要涉及了這些學(xué)生在獲取留學(xué)資格并成功留學(xué)所需做的學(xué)術(shù)準(zhǔn)備。第三章則關(guān)注了留美學(xué)生在留美期間在適應(yīng)和西化過(guò)程中的課內(nèi)、外生活。第四章分析了留學(xué)期間留美學(xué)生所參與的各種全球性活動(dòng)。本章主要借鑒了1912至1922年間的《中國(guó)留美學(xué)生月報(bào)》。作為留美學(xué)生發(fā)表其對(duì)國(guó)內(nèi)、外事件的看法與不滿的主要刊物，中國(guó)留美學(xué)生月報(bào)刊登了留學(xué)生對(duì)包括美、日奪取膠州，，《二十一條》，第一次世界大戰(zhàn)和巴黎和會(huì)，中華民國(guó)的興亡，袁世凱恢復(fù)帝制和討伐袁世凱等事件的看法。這一時(shí)期主要貫徹了“教育救國(guó)”的思想。第五章則簡(jiǎn)要綜述了留美學(xué)生歸國(guó)后所受到的沖擊和其在擇業(yè)、薪金待遇等方面受到的挑戰(zhàn)。
