留學(xué)生來華影響因素實(shí)證分析

【摘要】:國際間人才競爭日趨加劇,留學(xué)生群體作為國際人才的重要組成部分越加受到各國重視,隨著近些年留學(xué)熱不斷升溫,世界范圍內(nèi)越來越多學(xué)生群體趨向于出國留學(xué)深造,此時(shí)對于留學(xué)生選擇留學(xué)地影響因素的研究越來越受到學(xué)者的追捧,近年來中國學(xué)者對于來華留學(xué)生影響因素方面的研究也越加火熱。本文以2001年中國加入WTO為分界點(diǎn),選取歷年來華留學(xué)生人數(shù)最多的13個(gè)國家2001年-2014年面板數(shù)據(jù),著重研究中國加入世貿(mào)組織之后經(jīng)濟(jì)、教育、醫(yī)療等因素對來華留學(xué)生人數(shù)的影響。研究發(fā)現(xiàn):經(jīng)濟(jì)因素方面,留學(xué)生來源國與中國GDP總量差值,中國GDP增長率、來源國與中國雙邊貿(mào)易額等對于吸引留學(xué)生來華都有正向影響,且這三個(gè)個(gè)指標(biāo)都是在百分之一的水平下顯著,說明這三個(gè)指標(biāo)對于留學(xué)生來華數(shù)量都有顯著的正向吸引作用;教育因素方面,中國高校師生比于留學(xué)生來華人數(shù)具有正向影響作用,但是實(shí)證結(jié)果顯示其顯著性不強(qiáng),這一結(jié)果與我們的預(yù)期并不相符,由于中國高校師生比在近些年來沒有較大改變,教師配備無法滿足高校擴(kuò)招的需求,但是留學(xué)生人數(shù)卻有這跨越式的增長;醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生因素方面,中國醫(yī)療支出占GDP比例對于來華留學(xué)生數(shù)量具有正向影響,實(shí)證結(jié)果顯示其在百分之一的水平下顯著為正,顯著性很強(qiáng);其它指標(biāo),2003年非典事件這一指標(biāo)具有負(fù)向影響,2008年經(jīng)濟(jì)危機(jī)對來華留學(xué)生數(shù)量具有正向影響。基于以上的研究結(jié)果,為了在國際人才競爭中占得先機(jī),那我國必須在吸引國際留學(xué)生方面加大重視力度,大力發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì),保持中國經(jīng)濟(jì)持續(xù)的高速發(fā)展;同時(shí)加強(qiáng)教育投入以提高教學(xué)質(zhì)量,降低高校師生比;注重醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生投入,保障民眾醫(yī)療需求,營造更好的醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生環(huán)境,杜絕大范圍疾病的傳播。
[Abstract]:International talent competition is becoming more and more serious. As an important part of international talents, more and more countries attach importance to the international student group. With the increasing heat of studying abroad in recent years, more and more students tend to study abroad in the world. At this time, the research on the influencing factors of foreign students' choice to study abroad is becoming more and more popular by scholars. In recent years, Chinese scholars' research on the influencing factors of foreign students in China has become more and more hot. Taking China's entry into WTO in 2001 as the dividing point, this paper selects the panel data from 2001 to 2014 of 13 countries with the largest number of Chinese students to study the economy and education after China's accession to the WTO. The influence of medical treatment and other factors on the number of overseas students in China. In terms of economic factors, the difference in the total GDP between the countries of origin and China, the growth rate of China's GDP and the bilateral trade volume between the countries of origin and China have positive effects on attracting foreign students to China. These three indicators are all significant at the level of 1%, indicating that these three indicators have a significant positive attraction to the number of foreign students coming to China; in terms of educational factors, The teacher-student ratio of Chinese universities and colleges has a positive effect on the number of students coming to China, but the empirical results show that it is not significant. This result is not in line with our expectation, because the teacher-student ratio of Chinese colleges and universities has not changed much in recent years. The staffing of teachers can not meet the demand of colleges and universities for enrollment expansion, but the number of overseas students has increased by leaps and bounds. In terms of medical and health factors, the proportion of China's medical expenditure to GDP has a positive impact on the number of foreign students coming to China. The empirical results show that it is significantly positive at the level of 1%, and the other indicators, the SARS incident in 2003, have a negative impact, and the economic crisis of 2008 has a positive impact on the number of foreign students coming to China. Based on the above research results, in order to get the first chance in the international talent competition, China must pay more attention to attracting international students, vigorously develop the economy, and maintain the sustained rapid development of the Chinese economy; At the same time, we should strengthen the education investment to improve the teaching quality, reduce the teacher-student ratio in colleges and universities, pay attention to the medical and health investment, guarantee the people's medical needs, create a better medical and health environment, and prevent the spread of diseases on a large scale.
