基于應(yīng)用特征的PaaS彈性資源管理機(jī)制

【摘要】:如何在保障服務(wù)質(zhì)量的前提下,盡可能地節(jié)省服務(wù)器資源,是云計(jì)算環(huán)境中彈性資源管理面臨的主要問(wèn)題之一.目前關(guān)于云計(jì)算環(huán)境中彈性機(jī)制的研究多數(shù)集中在IaaS層,且較少考慮不同應(yīng)用的具體特征.文中提出了一種基于應(yīng)用特征的PaaS彈性資源管理機(jī)制AFERM(Application Feature based Elastic Resource Management mechanism),主要貢獻(xiàn)包括:(1)定義了包含資源開(kāi)銷(xiāo)信息與請(qǐng)求率變化信息的應(yīng)用特征;(2)設(shè)計(jì)了一種基于應(yīng)用執(zhí)行單元的請(qǐng)求分配機(jī)制,在請(qǐng)求數(shù)量較大時(shí),將它們劃分給多個(gè)資源開(kāi)銷(xiāo)相對(duì)固定的應(yīng)用執(zhí)行單元分別處理;(3)基于應(yīng)用特征將不同類(lèi)型的應(yīng)用搭配部署.作者在自主開(kāi)發(fā)的PaaS平臺(tái)PAE(Peking university Application Engine)上驗(yàn)證了該機(jī)制的可行性和有效性.實(shí)驗(yàn)證明,AFERM能夠在保證服務(wù)質(zhì)量的前提下,有效地減少服務(wù)器的使用:與對(duì)比策略相比,AFERM平均可以減少28.3%的虛擬機(jī)占用,最多可以減少50%.
[Abstract]:How to save server resources as much as possible on the premise of guaranteeing service quality is one of the main problems in elastic resource management in cloud computing environment. At present, most of the researches on elastic mechanism in cloud computing environment focus on the IaaS layer, and seldom consider the specific characteristics of different applications. In this paper, an application feature based PaaS elastic resource management mechanism, AFERM(Application Feature based Elastic Resource Management mechanism, is proposed. The main contributions include: 1) define the application feature including resource overhead information and request rate change information. With the request allocation mechanism of the execution unit, When the number of requests is large, they are divided into several application execution units with relatively fixed resource cost to deal with each other. Based on the application characteristics, different types of applications are deployed together. The feasibility and effectiveness of the mechanism are verified on the PaaS platform PAE(Peking university Application Engine) developed by the author. Experimental results show that AFERM can reduce server usage effectively on the premise of guaranteeing QoS: compared with the comparison strategy, AFERM can reduce the average virtual machine usage by 28.3% and reduce 50% at most.
