[Abstract]:Since the mid-1990s, efforts have been made to create a global coordination and decision-making framework for the Internet. Such an international system of Internet governance could at least become the only global authority to assign network addresses and domain names to users around the world. However, it could do more, possibly pushing for global public policy on issues such as unknown sources of spam, computer network security and freedom of expression. That's it for the last ten years.
