英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作連貫的新舊信息契約和主題結(jié)構(gòu)研究

‘連貫’通常指連接話(huà)語(yǔ)或句子含義的種種關(guān)系,旨在為讀者創(chuàng)造有意義的語(yǔ)篇。它常常被視為一種模糊、復(fù)雜的概念。然而‘連貫’這一概念卻引起了許多語(yǔ)言學(xué)家和寫(xiě)作專(zhuān)家的興趣。目前,有關(guān)‘連貫’的研究有兩種不同的觀點(diǎn):立足于語(yǔ)篇本身,或立足于讀者。前者認(rèn)為語(yǔ)篇是由作者構(gòu)建、安排信息的順序,因此連貫可視為語(yǔ)篇本身所具有的特征。然而近來(lái)心理學(xué)和語(yǔ)用學(xué)的研究表明語(yǔ)篇是否連貫與讀者對(duì)語(yǔ)篇的理解有關(guān),連貫在某種意義上可以說(shuō)是取決于讀者與語(yǔ)篇有效的互動(dòng)。在過(guò)去的幾十年里,已有相當(dāng)數(shù)量的關(guān)于‘連貫’的研究。然而這些研究所提出的理論很少可以實(shí)際運(yùn)用到英語(yǔ)作為外語(yǔ)的寫(xiě)作教學(xué),或用于指導(dǎo)學(xué)生改善寫(xiě)作語(yǔ)篇整體的連貫性。鑒于以上原因,本文將以連貫作為研究主題,探討如何運(yùn)用‘新舊信息契約’和‘主題結(jié)構(gòu)分析’理論,來(lái)指導(dǎo)學(xué)生修改初稿,提高語(yǔ)篇整體的連貫性。所謂‘新舊信息契約’,指的是在一個(gè)句子里,已知信息通常出現(xiàn)在句子的前半部分,而新信息則出現(xiàn)在句子的后半部分,即整個(gè)句子呈現(xiàn)出“已知信息+新信息”的信息結(jié)構(gòu)!黝}結(jié)構(gòu)分析’是指通過(guò)考察句子主題和語(yǔ)篇主題之間的語(yǔ)意關(guān)系來(lái)分析整個(gè)語(yǔ)篇主題的發(fā)展!屡f信息契約’妥善地連接了句子...
